Joe Cullooyhh’s shadow, along with the shade from Kanmille’s umbrella, allows tribal elder, Angus Kanmille some extra protection from the harsh mid-afternoon sun while watching the dancers perform at the Arlee pow-wow on Saturday afternoon in Arlee, Mont. Kanmille is well known in her tribe for her beautiful beadwork, and has fashioned beaded gloves for famed people such as Mohammed Ali and Al Gore.
