“ Halloween, or Samhain, is a time to honor those who have passed the veil…a time to celebrate beauty in darkness…a time to see that in death, there is life,” says Colin Smith. “ There truly is life.” Smith gets his, “ goth on,” at the annual Barn Burner held this year on Halloween at the Blue Heron bar in Missoula, Mont. For Smith, who regularly practices pagan rituals, the outfit is more than a costume; it’s his every day attire.
